2 Natural Sisters

2 Natural Sisters sells handmade, natural products that are earth-friendly.

Many sisters share clothes or makeup, but Karla and Karen Palm share a business. Launched in March 2017, 2 Natural Sisters is a family-owned and operated company creating earth-conscious products.

Some of these products include goat milk and charcoal soaps, whipped shea butters, moisturizers, deodorant, sugar scrubs, bath fizzies, lip balms, salves, soy candles and even soaps, and salves for fur babies. All of these products are handmade by the Palm sisters. President and CEO Karla Palm discusses the methods of a family-owned company aiming to produce natural products.

“We call ourselves 2 Natural Sisters because we actually are biological sisters who love making natural and earth friendly products,” she explains. “Our products are all handmade, by us, in small batches to ensure high-quality and care at affordable prices. All of our packaging is either recyclable or reusable, including the packaging our materials come in. It is important to us that the companies we get our supplies from are earth-friendly too.”

Inspired by Karla’s family’s struggles to find helpful skincare and Karen’s soap-making abilities, the two sisters started the company with hopes of bringing affordable, high-quality, natural products to clients everywhere.

“My son and husband have very sensitive skin and it was important to me to ensure their skin was treated in the best possible manner, without chemicals,” explains Karla. “I found ‘natural’ products to be either very expensive or not all natural.”

2 Natural Sisters sells their products online and at local markets and festivals. They also have products on the shelves at the East Market on 6326 Livingston Avenue in Reynoldsburg. Karla touches on their plans for the summer and what may be in store for the upcoming months.

“To name a few, we are participating in summer festivals including the Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival in Gahanna, the Comfest in Columbus, Tinder Love and Curl in July, and the Backwoods Festival in Thornville,” she says. “We plan to expand our product offerings to provide the chemical-free products consumers need.”

Karla also describes why natural products are important to her and Karen and what they both enjoy most about working side by side.

“We want to bring awareness to the benefits of living natural and chemical free, consistently leave an environmentally friendly footprint and give to charitable organizations that align with our mission,” she explains. “I love getting to work with my sister to create wonderful products to share with others. We have a lot of fun meeting new people who fall in love with our products and customer service. It’s fulfilling when someone has used our products and thoroughly enjoys the experience.”

Karla says her favorite product is the charcoal facial soap. She says it detoxifies her skin while reducing the appearance of pores, and it smells great. Karen loves the Whipped Shea Butters and how it feels, how soft it makes her skin and the various scents they offer, her favorite being Naturally Neutral.

Their prices range from $2.50 to $16 for various products.
