A Well Read Life

Candace ReadCandace Read, a native of Bainbridge, GA, received her B.F.A. in Dance from Valdosta State University and in June, completes her Masters in Luxury and Fashion Management from Savannah College of Art and Design.

If getting her Masters wasn’t impressive enough, Candace is also living the life of a freelancer. Floating from contract to contract, city to city (like NYC and Columbus) working for various fashion companies and art organizations, she says, “I live a freakishly busy life, but I sincerely enjoy it!”

Candace’s busy – but enjoyable! – life means some of her recent freelance adventures include work with New York City Ballet, Kandice Pelletier Swimwear, AJ Day Photography, and Sherri Hill Designs. When she’s not found traveling, Candace is a digital media consultant and style blogger.

Candace started her blog, Live Love and Read, as a way to keep family and friends up-to-date on her adventures of living in New York City. While living in NYC, Candace realized she had a deep love for fashion; one that slowly transitioned her personal blog into a style focused blog. “It’s been a fun adventure thus far!” she says, of her evolving blog.

The goal of Live Love and Read, Candace says, ” is to make style the affordable accessory in every woman’s life. I want to help her discover her own timeless style.” On the blog, she emphasizes streamlining high fashion with accessible, well-made brands that are affordable, classic, and moldable.

You can see how Candace combines all those things by checking out some of her recent posts. Currently, she’s talking winter to spring style. “Despite the weather,” she says, “I’m making the transition stylistically and sharing tips, tricks, and spring sale alerts with my readers.” And you also can see her love for travel and Columbus in her post on the Short North’s  Le Meridien Columbus – The Joseph hotel.
