CBUS_CPHOTOOne of my favorite parts of the end of any season is seeing all the new fabrics, colors, prints, pieces, and trends that start to hit the stores in the early months right before the next.

Spring is always a favorite of mine because after many long boring months of blacks, greys, neutrals, and cold winter colors, all the bright and exciting prints start appearing out of nowhere.

Don’t get me wrong, I love black as much (if not more) than the next person, but I also love fun, bright colors too. We all expect them to show up eventually, even though it sometimes seems like winter will never end.

So instead of focusing on this terrible and cold winter, we’re going to focus on my upcoming favorite trends and spring looks. Below, I’ve chosen my top three favorite trends for this year. Hopefully they will help to inspire your upcoming shopping trips, and get you out of this winter funk!

Floral prints are going to be huge this spring – in fact, they already are. I absolutely love a good floral print on just about anything. The amount of floral I’m seeing already is much more than last year, and it is coming in all shapes and sizes: floral bomber jackets, hats, flats, shorts, and bright silk tops are showing up all over the place. Floral pants are number one on my list currently.

  1. Equipment Silk Tee:
  2. Rebecca Taylor Top:
  3. Haute Hippie Pants:
  4. Gap Flats:
  5. Kate Spade NY iPhone Case:
  6. Joie Floral Shorts:
  7. J.Crew Baseball Hat:
  8. Equipment Floral Bomber Jacket:
  9. Dolce & Gabbana Bikini:
  10. Franco Ferrari Scarf:

Polka dots are next on the list. I didn’t think I liked polka dots all that much until I started seeing these big print versions come along. They just add the perfect amount of flair to an outfit. One of my favorite combinations is a black and white polka dot piece with some red pumps. If you incorporate them into your outfit right, they can be perfect.

  1. Marni Polka-dot Dress:
  2. MICHAEL Michael Kors Tote:
  3. Burberry Prorsum Scarf:
  4. 3.1 Phillip Lim Sweatpants:
  5. Equipment Silk Blouse:
  6. Alice + Olivia Pump:
  7. Matt Bernson Flats:
  8. Madewell Swimsuit:

Pastels. I know, pastels are in every year, but this year, I’m seeing a lot of pastel colored coats, jackets, heels, and accessories. They’re just so spring-like and feminine, I can’t help but love them (especially paired with something white)!
