Holiday Recipes & Memories – Children’s Hunger Alliance

Cbus Chic’s Local Editor chats with Adrienne Galloway – Special Events Manager at Children’s Hunger Alliance – to learn all about their Holiday Recipes & Memories contest. Galloway says they’re asking for a suggested donation of $10 per person, which provides up to 30 healthy meals and snacks for hungry kids in Ohio.

They have a few organizations signed-up currently and they just launched the contest on their social media channels Friday (December 1) and today. “On Facebook, I posted a recipe already to get the ball rolling,” shares Galloway. Check out that recipe, and more about the contest below.

Holiday Recipes & Memories Contest (Press Info)

When you think back on your most cherished holiday memories, what stands out most? For many of us, memories are made around a dinner table with family and friends enjoying a good meal and each other’s company.

Sadly, for the 1 in 5 Ohio kids who live in food-insecure households, there is not an overflowing dinner table to sit around this winter season. In celebration of family traditions and in support of Children’s Hunger Alliance’s mission to provide healthy meals and nutrition and physical education to kids in need, please enter our Holiday Recipes & Memories contest.

It’s easy to participate:

  1. Share your favorite holiday recipe
  2. Share a memory associated with your favorite recipe: Was it passed down from generation to generation?
  3. Donate $10 to Children’s Hunger Alliance via cash, check or a unique contest page created by Children’s Hunger Alliance
    • Your story will be submitted to your company’s holiday contest contact
    • All submissions will be judged and the most compelling will be awarded 1st Place and’ll be shared via social media by Children’s Hunger Alliance

But the greatest gift of all is knowing you are investing in the future of Ohio’s children. Your $10 donation can provide up to 30 healthy meals and snacks.
