Your Spring (Beauty) Cleaning Checklist

unnamed-8The season has changed over from winter to spring. And as we head out (back) into the sun and warm weather, there are a few tips and trends to treat ourselves. Nicole DiTommaso of Reverse Vanity shares her spring checklist with Cbus Chic:

First, put some life back into your complexion. After the cold months have passed, it can leave your skin feeling dry, and looking dull. My favorite solution to reverse this winter damage is exfoliation.

Try a deep exfoliating treatment, such as microdermabrasion. A great microdermabrasion will remove the top layer of dead skin on your face, allowing moisture to penetrate deeper and fine lines from dehydration to disappear! ($120 at Reverse Vanity Spa).

Another great trick to revive your complexion is picking a foundation that’s a shade deeper than your natural tone. This choice will create added warmth to your skin tone, without being detectable as a completely different shade.

My personal favorite is our Demi-Matte finish tint with broad spectrum spf 20. This foundation has excellent coverage without being heavy and the spf volume is high for a foundation. You get great longevity in your coverage and protection with this formula.

Lastly – and one of the most popular services offered this time of year – is spray tans. I must admit this is my ultimate go-to. A spray tan is a quick fix on a day when you’re feeling washed out or you just want some added ALL OVER color. Although spray tans won’t block natural sun exposure, they do aide in protecting our skin verses going in a tanning bed.

A spray tan usually lasts about 5-10 days depending on how often you exfoliate your skin. You can pick from two formulas at Reverse. Our original formula, The Vanity Tan, will set you back $44; plus you’ll want to sleep over night in the solution for the longest wear.

The second option, our Power Hour Tan, allows you to shower within the same day! This tan is great if you weren’t previously planning on spray tanning, or if you have a last minute event. The Power Hour tan cost $60, but both spray tan options will have you glowing and out the door within 25 minutes!

Ahhh who doesn’t love instant gratification?!
