Just Bein’ Mommy

How did we ever live without our children? The all-consuming job of “Mom” is exhausting, frustrating, and confusing. But it’s also the greatest and most satisfying job in the world.

To help alleviate some of the stresses of motherhood, Ashley Thompson started the blog Just Bein’ Mommy, a place where she can share her life and the things she’s learned under the title Mom.

“I want to give parents, moms, and all insight into whatever we do and how it is okay to be yourself,” she says. “I have always used it to be a family-oriented blog that reflects on building a family while being a busy mom.”

Thompson says when she first started blogging she wanted to share her life with her son and her family.

“My family doesn’t live near me, and it kept everyone up to date,” she says. “As I continued, I wanted to share as much as I can and started to include reviews and sponsored content as it pertained to my family.”

Aside from the blog and a work-from-home job, Thompson is attending school for photography while being a stay-at-home mom, something she and her husband always agreed she would have the chance to do once they were able to do it.

“So, when the time came, I jumped at the chance,” she says. “I chose to stay at home because I wanted to be completely involved in what my children learned and how they grew.”

Staying at home with the kids is no easy task, however. Thompson says that one of the challenges she faces at as a stay-at-home mom is juggling her time. “Because I currently work from home, run this blog, and go to school for photography, I often run out of time to do everything I want to do,” she says. “But I’m working on making that better for me and my family.”

Thompson says that as her family grows, her blog will continue to do the same. “There is more to cover that I haven’t experienced yet, but I’m ready and excited for the future,” she says.
