Oats and Barley Market
It seems like it’s always time for construction in Columbus. And while we wait to see what changes are coming once the dust clears, Cbus Chic knows of one thing that’s ready to grace the city’s Short North Art District: Oats and Barley Market.
Cbus Chic talked with Manager and co-owner Shannon Sano to get the scoop on this new storefront.
Oats and Barley Market is a grocery market that will sell food & beverage products with a strong focus on providing options that are organic, all-natural, eco-friendly, and/or locally sourced. The new store will open in Summer 2016.
Sano says the inspiration for opening the grocery store came from the influx of residential buildings in the Short North. “We saw a real need for a place people can go and have a healthy selection of groceries, fresh produce, locally sourced foods, and craft beer & wine,” she explains.
According to Sano, Oats and Barley Market has a community spirit and a diversified mix of high-end grocery selections, including the best locally sourced grab & go meals around. “From locally brewed beer to a wide variety of bulk selections, there should be something for everyone,” Sano adds.
The grocery store is also partnering with some great businesses to offer some of Ohio’s best products. Such as Westerville’s Coppa Gelato, and Rue Farm‘s non-GMO gluten free potato chips.
