SPOTLIGHT: Halloween Pet Parade & Fall Festival



Cbus Chic: When and Where are the Halloween Pet Parade and festival activities taking place?

Kristin Scott, Senior Marketing Manager at Steiner + Associates: Sunday October 19th from 12-4pm at Easton Town Center. The parade begins at 1:30pm in front of Moochie & Co. (across the street from American Girl) in Fenlon Square.


Cbus Chic: Does Easton Town Center hold this event every year?

Scott: Easton Town Center has hosted the Halloween Pet Parade and Fall Festival for 15 years.


Cbus Chic: How can our readers sign up and enter their furry friends into the parade, any cost to enter? 

Scott: Bring your pet in his/her best costume to the judging booth between 12:00 and 1:30pm on Sunday, October 19th, for free registration. Human guests are encouraged to dress up as well!


Cbus Chic: Will there be any contests during the parade? 

Scott: Judges, including Jessa Goddard of WBNS 10TV and Pete Hulse of Pet Butler, will be awarding prizes in categories like Most Creative Costume, Scariest Costume, Funniest Costume, Cutest Costume, Best Group Costume and Best Duo Costume (for pet and owner).


Cbus Chic: What have been some creative costume ideas in the past? 

Scott: Costumes have ranged from dogs dressed as bananas to motorcyclists to knights.  


Cbus Chic: What activities will be available for families? 

Scott: Face painting, caricature drawings, pumpkin painting and hayrides ($10 for adults, free for children 15 and under). Pups on the Patio at the Rusty Bucket from 12:00-5:00pm allows pets to join their owners on Rusty Bucket’s two patios in Fenlon Square. A Rusty Bucket gift card will be given to the owner of the Best Dressed dog. Woofster from WOSU’s Superwhy! and Clifford the Big Red Dog will be available for pictures. Lastly, a DJ will be playing spooky Halloween music all afternoon.
