The Winchester Institute

The goal at The Winchester Institute of Chiropractic Health and Wellness is whole-health restoration.

“Our chiropractic physicians focus on your mind and your body – because you only have one,” explains Megan O’Neill, Marketing Director at The Winchester Institute of Chiropractic Health and Wellness. “Every patient that walks through our door is treated as an individual. We believe all body systems interact and intermingle and we feel it is the most important to look at our patients as whole-beings. We are the sum of our parts. We are inspired by the body’s resilience and ability to heal within.”

The multidisciplinary health and wellness center, located in Dublin, focuses on the Gonstead chiropractic technique.

“Specializing in the Gonstead technique, we offer our patients the foremost standard in ‘hands on’ spinal adjusting,” she says. “Our doctors take pride in educating each of our patients on the wellness model of healthcare and emphasizing nutrition-based disease prevention.”

The history of The Winchester Institute dates back to 2005 when it was founded by Dr. Dana Winchester. Today, there are three chiropractic physicians including Dr. Winchester, Dr. Greg Mastronarde, and Dr. Michael Suplicki. Additionally, there is a staff at The Winchester Institute comprised of exercise physiologists, experienced licensed massage therapists, a holistic health coach, and a team of administrative care coordinators.

In order to give focus to the whole health of its patients, The Winchester Institute offers services that will maximize and restore your health.

“Our lifestyle and care-plan recommendations are backed by research to provide the best outcomes possible for our patients,” says O’Neill.

Services from The Winchester Institute include chiropractic care, massage therapy, vitamins and supplements, rehabilitation physiotherapy, weight loss and nutrition counseling, certified holistic health coaching, and custom-fit orthotics and orthopedic products.

O’Neill says that the team of physicians are preferred providers and most services are covered by insurance, adding that The Winchester Institute is in-network with most major medical insurance companies.

What helps The Winchester Institute stand out is its offering of the Gonstead chiropractic technique.

“This means that you are treated as an individual,” says O’Neill. “Gonstead chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that emphasizes the inherent, recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.”

This practice of chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between structure, primarily the spine, and function, as coordinated by the nervous system, and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.

“A Gonstead practitioner is specially trained to deliver full-spine, specific adjustments to abnormally functioning vertebrae, commonly misunderstood as a misalignment,” she explains. “With restoration of spinal function, our goal is to fully rehabilitate the nervous system so that your brain is able to best communicate with its parts.”

The team at The Winchester Institute is continuously learning and growing, priding itself on continued education and community outreach.

“New this year, we have recently launched an online version of our Healthy Living Workshop Seminars,” says O’Neill. “We are always looking for opportunities to grow and provide the newest and latest healthcare options for our patients.”
