All Wrapped Up

Learn about the natural ways to stay healthy, happy, and relaxed with Allvera Body Wrap and Wellness Center, and about their newest opening.

IMG_4073If you’re looking to start making healthy changes in a natural way, check out Allvera Body Wrap and Wellness Center. Michele McTeague, owner of Allvera Body Wrap & Wellness Center in Pickerington was inspired to learn more about natural remedies after experiencing health issues. “I decided to speak to an herbalist and go the natural route.  Within weeks, I was feeling better and learning to incorporate better eating habits and the use of herbs into my daily routine,” says McTeague. Over the years, she took many classes and seminars on various topics in natural health. She also studied Iridology, the study of the iris -its texture, pigments and markings- in order to get a better idea of where the body’s weaknesses lie, as well as discerning which areas are working properly. “Because of the positive changes I saw in my own health, I developed the desire to help people learn more about the importance of taking care of themselves and how to incorporate more natural ways to do it.”

In July of 2009, McTeague purchased Allvera Body Wrap & Wellness Center.  Allvera is derived from combining the words “all aloe vera”.  Aloe is the main ingredient in their wrap solution which provides deep hydration and conditioning that leads to inch loss. “Our mission statement is, ‘Empowering people to become healthier and happier through education and encouraging positive changes in how they view caring for themselves.”

Initially, the center offered only body wraps and ionic foot detox, but they have expanded the menu to include custom airbrush tans, paraffin wax treatments, massages (Thai Yoga, relaxation and deep tissue), esthetic treatments (facials, shiatsu eye treatments, body treatments, waxing and eyebrow/eyelash tinting), nail services, yoga classes and Faster EFT, which is a tapping technique used to reprogram negative and destructive thought patterns. In 2011, the center expanded in size to make room for all of the amazing practitioners who are working there.  “I truly believe that we have the most caring and talented practitioners anywhere in Central Ohio.  There is such a great synergy between us all that is rooted in the desire to help our customers live a healthier and more fulfilling life.”

What sets Allvera apart from other spas and wellness centers is the level of comfort and acceptance they offer their clients. The philosophy is to treat the customers like they are guests in your home. In January, Allvera began offering Monday evening and Saturday morning yoga and pilates classes. They keep the class size to five students in order to allow for each individual to proceed at their own pace as well as one-on-one instruction.  Additionally, they will be offering a weight loss class featuring the Faster EFT technique.

The business also expanded when Mcteague’s business partner, Jen Van Parys-Randall opened a second center in Dublin in March 2010. The Grandview location will open February 2014. Van-Parys-Randall like McTeague, took interest in health and nutrition. “I believe that my corporate background and lifelong interest and health and nutrition led me to Allvera Body Wrap and Wellness,” Van Parys-Randall says.

Allvera of Pickerington is located at 201 Clint Dr. Suite #700 in Pickerington.

Allvera of Dublin is located at 7420 Sawmill Road and 2079 W. 5th Avenue in Marble Cliff.

“We truly care about the mind, body, and spirit of each and every one of our guests,” explains McTeague.
