Spotlight: India Hicks

India Hicks is a lifestyle brand founded and curated by India Hicks, a former fashion model and second cousin to Charles, Prince of Wales. Launched in 2015, today the brand includes everything from classic bags and scarves to bath items and statement jewelry.

People around the world are discovering India Hicks, but those in Columbus don’t have to travel far the brand because it’s sold locally by Kim Dick of New Albany.

Dick joined India’s tribe as an independent ambassador earlier this year because of the way India’s energetic personality and spirit of fun and adventure resonated with her.

Emily Crowe, a freelance writer and editor based here in Columbus, put Dick and India Hicks on the radar for our Local Editor. Crowe explains how she and Kim met through Alignable and decided to collaborate.

Dick is enthusiastic to share the India Hicks collection with Columbus’s men and women, and looks forward to growing her business throughout the holiday season. “I’m very excited about becoming an ambassador for India Hicks and joining her on the adventure of this wonderful new business she has created,” she says.

“I wasn’t looking to begin a new business,” Dick admits. “I have a career and already started another business of my own. However, there was something about India Hicks and her new company and lifestyle brand that just felt good.”

In fact, India Hicks recently  introduced her Holiday collection which includes pieces that speak to her British heritage. Like scarves, purses, clutches and cuffs. Dick says she especially loves that each item carries an interesting, often personal story with it.

“Her Bird + Knoll scarves from the fall collection are made from actual photographs India took herself,” Dick explains. “Many items are named after relatives and dear friends. I enjoy how her personality runs through the collection and allows you to connect with her products.”

One of those Bird + Knoll scarves from the fall collection, which depicts the Changing of the Guard, is a particular favorite for Dick. “I’ve been to London many times and adore all of the tradition,” she says. “This beautiful scarf is like wrapping myself in years of cherished memories of my travels to London.”

Other new items include:

  • Legacy letters – now available in silver
