The Latest on THREAD

Sisters and co-founders, Sara Guice and Miranda Boyle.

“We always talked about opening a store together and after 10 years of brainstorming and dreaming, we were blessed with families who not only encouraged us, but made it possible for THREAD to become a reality,” says Miranda Boyle, Creative Director and Buyer for the store.

Sisters and co-founders, Sara Guice and Miranda Boyle opened the doors to THREAD on Grandview in January 2012. They just opened their second brick and mortar location, THREAD on High in June.

“We felt like THREAD was a perfect fit for Dublin and the north end of Columbus,” says Boyle.

Launching THREAD on Wheels in August of 2012, Boyle came up with a unique shopping experience by having a mobile boutique. “We had received multiple requests from out-of-town friends and family to host private parties in their homes and we loved the idea,” says Boyle.

THREAD on wheels is a 31-foot Airstream dating back to 1972. It was retrofitted with reclaimed wood flooring and unique furniture pieces to maintain the THREAD aesthetic while out on the road servicing for private parties and charity events.

“We travel the world and globally source brands and designers. This means we have a really curated store and several lines are not available elsewhere in the United States,” says Boyle.

Boyle shares some exciting items that can be seen in the store this season as well as trends that will be seen this fall and winter. “Leather, leather and more leather is the fall motto for almost every designer this season,” explains Boyle. She recommends a track pant, which gives sophistication of a silk pant but with the edge of leather. The Moto Jacket from Current/Elliot is Boyle`s favorite item in store for the season which she suggests can be worn on cool summer nights or crisp fall evenings.

Insightly_InStoryAd“I love this jacket layered over a graphic tee with boyfriend jeans and booties essential for weekend wear”. There are so many ways to wear fur and this fall, we will see lots of fur in scarfs, coats and vests. “It is a great layering option as you can wear it over your Moto Jacket and paired back with jeans for a night out or thrown over a black sweater with leggings and tall boots as you are ready to conquer any errands around town,” explains Boyle.

THREAD is always keeping their Facebook active with their latest news and promotions. The sisters will be focusing on e-commerce more in hopes to increase their presence in that area of their business in the future. Check out the THREAD website here.
